Link Light Rail Extends to the Eastside

E130 East Link Extension

In this $665 million joint venture partnership between Kiewit and Hoffman, a seven-mile stretch of I-90 will be converted to carry light rail between south downtown Seattle and south Bellevue, with the addition of two new light rail stations by 2024. The project also features the world’s first light rail traveling on a floating bridge.

Judkins Park Station will have two large murals of Jimi Hendrix celebrating his home neighborhood. Hoffman crews are meeting the major challenge of working in a 75-foot wide construction area, in between active eastbound and westbound freeway traffic.
