Equipment and Process Innovation and Commercialization (EPIC) Center

Applied Materials is making a landmark investment to build the world’s largest and most advanced facility for collaborative semiconductor process technology and manufacturing equipment R&D. With expected capital investments of $4 billion over the next seven years, the new Equipment and Process Innovation and Commercialization (EPIC) Center will define how future chips are made and advance US leadership in the space.

Vision and Mission

A high-velocity, collaborative, secure innovation platform that changes the way new semiconductor foundational technologies and process equipment are developed and commercialized to accelerate industry time-to-market and lower overall research and development costs.

Timeline and Prequalification

During the building period, we expect to employ up to 1,500 dedicated construction workers who share our commitment to excellence, innovation, and meticulous craftsmanship.

Procurement Timeline
