Hoffman Construction Company, General Contractor/Construction Manager (“GC/CM” or “Contractor”) for Sound Transit BRT Stations, Furnishings & Systems (“Project”) being performed for The Central Puget Sound Regional Transit Authority (Sound Transit) (“Owner”) requests sub-bid proposals for Bid Package #2 – All Other Work.  This bid package includes the following: Bid Item #2A – Shelter & Pylon Installation, #2B – Miscellaneous Metals, #2C – Sitework, #2D – Flashing and Roofing (including demo) and #2E – Painting and Coatings.

A non-mandatory, but strongly encouraged, pre-bid meeting has been scheduled for 1:00 p.m., November 6, 2024 at Sound Transit Union Station, located at 401 S Jackson Street, Seattle, WA 98104 (see map in RFP).  All bidders are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting to acquaint themselves with the local conditions under which the work is to be performed and to correlate personal observations with the requirements of the Contract DocumentsStatements made at the pre-bid meeting by representatives of the Contractor, Owner, Architect, Engineers, and/or others are not binding and do not change the RFP documents or bidding requirements unless such statements are confirmed by written Addendum to the RFP.

Submit a completed Subcontractor/Vendor Questionnaire including latest year-end safety and financial information unless previously submitted within the last 12 months.  Questionnaire can be found at https://www.hoffmancorp.com/trade-partners/#prequalification and may be attached to bid, submitted as a separate file or submitted separately.  Elaborate proposals or the inclusion of non-essential information e.g. marketing/promotional material, safety manuals, resumes, etc. is strongly discouraged.  Proposals that are materially incomplete or are directed to other locations or received after the bid deadline will not be considered.

Owner and Contractor are committed to promoting and stimulating the growth of disadvantaged business enterprises, minority business enterprises, women business enterprises and veteran owned businesses and maximizing opportunities for these firms to participate in the work of this project.  Project goal is 6% DBE inclusion; however, Contractor has established a scope specific goal for each of the Bid Item in this Request for Proposal of 10% DBE.
